Configure a Supported Overlay

Ancient requires a compatible overlay to be running before injection.

NVIDIA GPUs

NVIDIA systems support either the NVIDIA App overlay or SteelSeries.

GeForce Experience does not support full-screen in-game mode for this setup. Use the current NVIDIA App instead.

To enable the NVIDIA App overlay:

Open the NVIDIA App.
Open Settings.
Go to General.
Enable IN-GAME OVERLAY.

AMD GPUs

AMD systems require SteelSeries.

Download SteelSeries GG.
Open SteelSeries GG.
Go to Settings → General and enable Sonar.
Go to SONAR → Shortcuts.
Assign the F7 key to Master - Volume Up.
Press this bind before injection so that the overlay is active.

Important

Set Fortnite to Borderless Fullscreen rather than Fullscreen Exclusive. Fullscreen Exclusive can cause the game to crash when the menu initializes.
