Prepare the Required Overlay

Configure a supported overlay before injecting Ancient.

Before launching Ancient, enable a supported overlay.

NVIDIA GPU

If you have an NVIDIA graphics card, enable the NVIDIA overlay. The supplied Ancient instructions state that NVIDIA supports the NVIDIA app and SteelSeries.

GeForce Experience does not support fullscreen in-game.

Download the NVIDIA app.

Open the NVIDIA app.
Go to Settings.
Open General.
Enable IN-GAME OVERLAY.

AMD GPU

If you have an AMD graphics card, install and use SteelSeries. The supplied instructions state that AMD supports SteelSeries only.

Download SteelSeries GG.

Open SteelSeries.
Go to Settings → GENERAL → General.
Enable Sonar.
Go to SONAR → Shortcuts.
Assign F7 to Master - Volume Up.
Press this bind before injection.

Important

The supplied materials also state that the game should use Borderless Fullscreen, rather than Fullscreen Exclusive, because Fullscreen Exclusive can cause crashing during menu initialization.
