Remove Conflicting Software

Check for Riot Vanguard, FACEIT Anti-Cheat, and other software that may conflict with the product.

Some anti-cheat clients and third-party security programs may prevent the software from starting. Remove them only when the requirements for your product explicitly instruct you to do so.

Warning

Removing Riot Vanguard, FACEIT Anti-Cheat, or similar software may prevent supported games from launching until the required anti-cheat client is installed again.

Open Installed Apps

  1. Open the Windows Start menu.

  2. Search for Add or remove programs.

  3. Open Add or remove programs or Installed apps.

Check for Conflicting Programs

Use the search field or review the list manually. Check whether any of the following programs are installed:

  • Riot Client

  • Riot Vanguard

  • FACEIT Anti-Cheat

  • ESEA Client

  • Third-party antivirus software

  • Any other program explicitly listed as incompatible in the product requirements

Uninstall a Conflicting Program

  1. Find the conflicting program in Installed apps.

  2. Click the menu next to its name.

  3. Select Uninstall.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

  5. Restart your computer after removing the required programs.

Note

Only uninstall programs listed as incompatible with your specific product. You can reinstall Riot Vanguard, FACEIT Anti-Cheat, or other required clients later from their official sources.
